Sampdoria coach Alberto Cavasin has called on his side to take confidence from their performance against Bari as their Serie A survival fight reaches a critical point against Brescia tomorrow.
The Blucerchiati are 17th in the standings, level on 35 points with third-from-bottom Lecce with four games remaining, and still have difficult fixtures to come against Genoa, Palermo and Roma.
Cavasin's men halted a run of nine games without a win with a 1-0 triumph at Bari last weekend to keep their hopes of retaining their Serie A status alive.
Cavasin was pleased with his team's performance and expects his side to show the same determination they displayed in Bari when they host Brescia.
"We needed to get a result against Bari and with a good performance we brought home three points,'' said Cavasin.
"We showed great balance at both ends of the pitch.
"We must gain strength from that performance and try to get a positive result against Brescia.''
