Volker Finke has called on Cologne to pull together for tomorrow's Rhine derby with Bayer Leverkusen after taking over as caretaker coach following the resignation of Frank Schaefer.
Schaefer claimed he had no choice but to step down due to the club's recent form, leaving former Freiburg coach Finke, who only arrived as Cologne's new director of sport in February, to take temporary charge for the final three games of the season.
His task will be to save the team from relegation with only three points separating them from the bottom three.
